Since 1995, Luma Tech has provided the film & digital production industry with cost-effective tools.

Beginning with a S16mm/2K high-speed lens series featuring focal lengths from 8mm to 50mm in high T1.3 apertures, precision lens mounts and adapters, and followed by an exciting series of ILLUMINA S35 high-speed lenses for 35mm film & 4K/5K digital, Luma Tech has delivered advanced technology to a production market eager for the highest quality at a reasonable cost.

The design concept for the S35 series was to create not only a high resolution and contrast, but also a forgiving “creaminess” combined with a high T1.3 aperture. The S35 series optical and mechanical designs comprise focal lengths of 14mm (T1.8), 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm (all T1.3) and 135mm T1.8.

With the addition of the 14mm lens Luma Tech is one of only two companies world-wide capable of offering the digital cinematographer of today a complete, integrated line of hiqh-speed objectives in both S16/2K and S35/5K formats, stretching from 8mm to 135mm.

The Illumina line of lenses were built by infamous Russian lens manufacturer LOMO
