Voigtländer 50mm f/2.2 Color Skopar
Summary
The COLOR-SKOPAR 50 mm F2.2 is characterized by manual focusing and optimization for full-frame sensors. The high-performance optics with 7 elements in 6 groups, including 3 elements made of anomalous partial dispersion glass, offer outstanding optical quality even at the full aperture of F2.2. The lens designers have managed to limit the length of the outer barrel to just 30 mm, despite the fast aperture of F2.2. Even with the lens hood supplied, the lens does not protrude into the camera’s viewfinder image. The minimum focusing distance is 0.5 m (depending on the camera). The ergonomically designed focusing recess enables fast and reliable focusing, even with the compact design. Like all Voigtländer lenses, the COLOR-SKOPAR 50 mm F2.2 offers a velvety, yet firm handling.
