Lensworks Type SK 2x Anamorphic 29mm T1.6
(INSERT SINGLE HERO IMAGE HERE - other images below in media section)
Summary
In this set the donor glass is based on Canon Rangefinder lenses from our Spherical Type SK large format set and uses the same vintage inspired optical design based upon the famous Vintage Todd-AO and Cineovision lenses. The lenses feature a modernized housing with internal focus, common Focus/Iris gears and new anamorphic optics.
The Japanese rangefinder lenses are famous for their ability to render beautiful skin tones and natural looking images. The lenses render a medium contrast with a more striking focus falloff and bokeh than the Meru or Cooke based NEO’s. It is for sure the “rangefinder” look!
The lenses have the same coating technology as the NEO-AO resulting in less veiling glare and more clarity than other vintage anamorphic lenses with excellent sharpness and resolution characteristics. The lenses have a more muted blueish flare pattern, amazing 3D pop and no visible chromatic abberations. Like the Meru and NEO-AO, Distortion is well controlled across the frame with no periscoping or perspective error effects. All lenses are 2x squeeze.
