The Compact Primes pre-dated the CP.2. They quickly updated them to CP.2. The original Compact Primes weren't aperture limited so you could get a T1.5 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. When ZEISS re-launched these as CP.2, the introduced the interchangeable mount and limited the three primary lenses to T2.1 so that they would match the rest of the set better.
